Common Questions

Project verification typically takes 1-2 weeks. We review each submission for open source license compliance, active maintenance, documentation, and African connection. You'll receive an email notification once your project is verified and added to the directory.
Yes, we welcome submissions from anyone building open infrastructure relevant to Africa. The project should either be led by Africans OR address African-specific challenges. Our primary focus is projects that contribute to Africa's digital sovereignty, regardless of where the developers are based.
We partner with governments, academic institutions, NGOs, and tech organizations to advance open source adoption in Africa. Please email partnerships@opendigitalsovereignty.org with information about your organization and proposed collaboration. We typically schedule introductory calls within 1 week of initial contact.
ODSI focuses on cataloging, advocacy, and ecosystem building rather than direct technical support. We help make projects visible and connect developers with relevant communities and resources. For technical questions about specific projects, please contact the project maintainers directly through their repository.
